Carson Domey Honored at the Mary Christie Institute's 2023 Presidents' Convening on College Student Mental Health and Wellbeing

On the evening of March 20th, Carson Domey had the distinguished opportunity to accept the inaugural Young Leader Award at the Mary Christie Institute 2023 Presidents’ Convening. This recognition stemmed from his leadership and advocacy for the mental health of teens and young adults. He was honored alongside the U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, who received the very first Leadership in Mental Health Award. Upon this honor, Carson was able to convey remarks about the magnitude of the youth mental health crisis on college campuses to over forty college presidents and several distinguished leaders in higher education. Furthermore, he discussed how shaping post-pandemic education presents an opportunity to promote an academic culture that emphasizes the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
